2. Website operation and security
We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect this website. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you access the website, Cloudflare may process your IP address, requested URL, time of access, referrer, HTTP status, and information about your browser, operating system, and network connection. These data are needed to deliver the site, diagnose errors, and prevent attacks.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. Cloudflare processes technical data to provide and secure its services. Retention depends on the Cloudflare product used, account settings, and applicable service periods; data are kept only as long as needed for the relevant operational or security purpose. Cloudflare may process data through its global network, including outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare’s contractual privacy terms apply to these transfers, in particular its Data Processing Addendum and, where required, the transfer mechanisms included in it.
3. Language preference and necessary storage
If you choose a language in the language menu, your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage, key “language”) so the website can remember it on later visits. The choice is not sent to us and remains stored until you clear your browser storage. This storage is used only for the language feature you requested. Based on the current website setup, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies and do not embed analytics or advertising pixels. Depending on the security settings enabled, Cloudflare may use technically necessary security features or cookies.
4. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the information in your message, such as your name, email address, message, and any attachments, to respond. The email is processed and stored in our inbox; the email service provider also processes the message.
For a request about a contract or steps before entering a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling and answering enquiries). We delete emails after the enquiry has been completed, unless statutory retention duties or necessary legal claims require keeping them.
5. Applications and career enquiries
If you email application materials or a portfolio to careers@mixedup-games.com, we process the personal data in them to review and answer your application or enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where processing concerns an employment relationship, Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We delete the materials when they are no longer needed for this process and no legal duties or necessary legal claims require further retention. We will keep an application in a longer-term candidate pool only with your separate consent.
6. External links to social networks and Steam
The Instagram, TikTok, Discord, and Steam buttons are ordinary links. We do not load embedded content from these services before you click. Once you open a link, the relevant provider receives connection data such as your IP address and browser/device information and processes it under its own privacy information:

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, receive your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests.
